|We are a friendly and informal club for all ages and all photographic tastes. Formed in 1952, the club is a member of the North & East Midlands Photographic Federation (a federation of around 60 camera clubs from Notts, Derbys and Lincs) through which it is affiliated to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain under whose Constitution and Rules we operate.|
We meet every Thursday from September to May (with a break over Christmas and New Year) at the Eastwood and District Conservative Club
9 Church St, EASTWOOD, Nottingham, NG16 3BP from 7.30pm prompt.
From the end of May until the beginning of September the club meets informally on Thursday evenings for local shoots both indoors and out.
|AIMS & ACTIVITIES
Each season we arrange a varied programme of lectures and demonstrations by guest speakers and our own members. We also organise competitions and exhibitions to encourage members to display their work and to give them the chance to receive constructive advice and encouragement from both external judges and other club members.
Throughout the year there is a regular 'Walk on Wednesday' (WOW) - an informal photographic ramble or visit to a place of interest, ending with a stop for refreshments. Occasionally day trips further afield are arranged.
New members are always welcome, whatever their level of knowledge or experience. Potential new members are very welcome to visit us to get a 'feel' for the club before committing to become a member.
